What an exciting time for Derrick & Katie!  They were our first wedding couple of 2011 and now they are expecting their second sweet little girl!  I always love taking maternity photos for past wedding couples!  It is so much fun to see their families grow!

Mark and Elizabeth are the sweetest couple.  We met out in the national forest at one of my favorite places on a cloudy fall evening.  I always want as much sun light as possible for my photo sessions, so I was a little disappointed when there was none :(  After a little while of shooting, chatting and walking around, the sun popped out for a whole two minutes!  I was so excited that I nearly shrieked out loud!  We shot as many photos as possible in those two minutes.

Baby Chase is expected to arrive in mid - November and his parents are so excited for his arrival!  With his mom's love of etsy.com, I am sure he will have an adorable little nursery.  I cannot wait to meet him in a few weeks!

Good luck Mark and Elizabeth!  I am so happy for you and can't wait to photograph one of your little man's first days!

 

I am so excited for this couple!  The main reason is because they will be giving me another nephew!!  Greg is my brother and his beautiful wife is Kara.  I had so much fun taking these photos with them....they are so sweet and so excited for the lil' guy to arrive!!  (I am excited too!!!!)  I totally fell in love with this barn near their home a few years ago and was so thrilled to actually get a chance to shoot in it...!  It was a little scary at first b/c the barn is so old, but ended up being completely worth it!!  I love when people trust me with shooting locations :)

I had a blast with this couple!  They were the last photo session before starting to go on maternity leave!  How fun to end with a maternity shoot!!!  The weather was frigid....but we still had lots of fun!  Liz was brave with her 3/4 sleeve shirt and exposing her cute preggo belly!  I was probably in five layers....she must have been cold!!!  Here are some of my faves!

Aaron & Mary are super excited to welcome their little baby boy into the world in a few weeks!!  Aaron is my cousin....and when I found out the news that his wife, Mary, was pregnant....I was beyond thrilled.  Mary's due date is only 5 days after mine!!  Joe and I had so much fun (even though we were freezing) walking around my parents' property taking photos in the snow!!  Snow pics can be so much fun.....!  Here are my faves from their session!  We can't wait to meet their little man in a few weeks!!

It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon when we met up with Heather & Bill for their maternity shoot.  Beautiful weather always make me fall in love with my job over and over again :)  Heather is my best friend and is expecting twin girls!  I am so excited to meet them!  I bet they are going to be sooo cute!!!!

Yes.....Joe and I are expecting as well! (In case you haven't already heard...) We are due one week after Heather & Bill.....with a little girl even!  It has been lots of fun going through this pregnancy with my best friend.  I can't wait for our little girls to grow up together!!!

Joe and I will be traveling to one of our absolute favorite photographers this weekend for our maternity session!  We cannot wait to share them with you!!!

The weather was perfect..the beach was quiet..Aurora and Larah looked super cute..what great conditions for an amazing session!  I had so much fun getting to know Aurora, Larah, their husbands and their mother.  Aurora and Larah are sisters.....and with due dates only days apart....there was much to talk about!  Here are my faves from their session!

 

I was so excited when Niki contacted me about doing some maternity photos.  Niki and my sister were due almost on the same day....and after seeing my sister's maternity photos, Niki decided that she definitely wanted some!  I am so glad that she did!!!  What a special time in your life!!  It was hot, as was every day this summer, but we got out there anyways and had some fun!  Niki is only a few weeks from her due date here.......and she looks great!! 

Btw....cute little Elliott is here safe and sound!!!

I had so much fun taking maternity photos with Michelle and Jerid!  I have known Michelle's family for years, so it is always exciting and fun to watch their family expand with new little ones!  I cannot wait to meet little Brooklyn!  She is gonig to be such a cutie I am sure!!  Her nursery was decorated so cute with her name in frames on the wall and hand-painted trees!  I hope you enjoy this preview!!

"Any day now"...is what they keep on telling me.  Well....any day now seems like forever!!  Jill is my sister and is pregnant with my sweet little niece.  I cannot wait to meet this little girl.....I want to give her lots of kisses and take millions of photos of her!  You will definitely be seeing her on the blog every few months for the next year!!  Jill, Brian and I went out into the national forest near our parents home for these photos.  I had never been to this location before and instantly fell in love!  I would have to say this is one of my faves! 

Keep an eye out in the next week or so for some photos of the newborn.....she will be here ANY DAY NOW!!

We really enjoyed spending the evening at Lake Michigan with this couple!  This is their first little one.....we can't wait to meet him!  Josh and Kathleen decided to keep his name a secret until he is born.......we were lucky enough to be priviliged to learn his name early for the photo shoot.  I was sworn to secrecy....you won't find any pics with his name here!!!  You will have to check back in a few weeks to find out :)

Believe it or not......Kathleen is 3ish weeks away from meeting the little guy in these photos!  She looks great!!  I bet he is going to be a cutie!!!

I am lovin' the sunflares lately......

On a super cold winter afternoon I met with Sarah & Brandon at a local apple orchard.  Normally a photo shoot takes 1+ hours...........but this one ended up being a little different.  We decided to make the most of the freezing cold day...but about 20 minutes into the shoot, we ran back to the warm house (hoping to save our fingers and toes from frostbite....ok....I may be going a little overboard).  Sarah & Brandon were so brave running from location to location pretending to be in some warm, tropical part of the world.  I think that we ended up with some great shots even though our time was cut short!

Sarah is the most beautiful pregnant woman that I have ever seen....(can you believe that she is about 8 months here???????)!  They are going to have one good-lookin' kid!
