It was great to finally meet Rusty and Elishia.  It is always so much better putting a name to face and meeting in person!  That's why we love taking engagement photos for our wedding couples!  We had a nice, quite warm, summer day for their shoot.  We wandered around a pretty little park in Big Rapids finding great locations for photos.

What a beautiful evening we had for Katie & Josh's round 2 of engagement pics!  Their first session was downtown Grand Rapids in 18 degree weather!  We decided to take a few more in the summer so their awesome guest book would have lots of variety.  (Click here to view their winter session)  The light was a-ma-zing.....I could have shot in it all day if only it lasted that long!  We can't wait for Josh & Katie's vintage-inspired wedding this summer!

Andy and Sarah found us at a bridal show in Fremont this past winter.  They live in Wisconsin, so it has been very difficult to get together for their engagement photos.  We finally were able to over Memorial Day Weekend...we were camping in Pentwater with friends, so Andy and Sarah met me up there for their shoot!  I found this location at dinner the night before, so I asked them to meet me at the awesome pine trees!  I ended loving this spot!  Their wedding will be here before we know it! 

 

 

It was a crazy hot day in Saugatuck, but it was great to finally meet this couple.  We have been chatting via email, etc for a while now...but I was glad to finally meet them in person.  Although it was hot and sticky out...we had lots of fun walking around the camp where Chris works......their wedding will also be there this fall!  It is going to be beautiful!!

 

Matt and Crystal are such a fun, youg, vibrant couple!  It was the hottest day so far this year and that didn't stop them from having a blast during their shoot!!!  We went to the camp that Crystal works at in Saugatuck, then visited the downtown area for some more shots!  We had lots of fun even though we were dying of heat exhaustion!!!  We finished the day at the local coffee shop where I had a yummy smoothie to cool me down :)

We met Brett and Leslie downtown Muskegon by Heritage Village....the weather was so nice....we were very fortunate!  They are a great couple to be around!  We had so much fun walking around getting to know them better....then talking wedding details over fried pickles!  Yum!  Joe and I cannot wait for their July wedding!  It should be lots of fun!!!  Here are some of my faves from the shoot!

What a beautiful couple Sarah and Brandon are.....  Sarah is Joe's sister, so we are so excited to be able to document their engagement and July wedding.  Sarah will make a stunning bride!  The day these photos were taken was beautiful...until we got to the beach.  It was way cold and the wind was crazy.  We took as many photos in as little of time as possible and we ended up with lots of great ones!  I can't wait to make these pics into a super cute guest book for their big day!

We were so blessed with a gorgeous day for Dalton & Tiffany's engagement session.  I was a little worried at first when we arrived to the park b/c the weeds were taking over the nice green grass.  We decided to work with it and ended up with some fun and unique photos!  Thanks for being so great to work with....we had lots of fun!

Sam is an old friend that I used to work with.....we were beyond thrilled when she contacted me for her wedding and engagement photos!  She actually was a bridesmaid in our first wedding ever!!!  It was great to finally meet Chris.....I had heard so much about him, but was finally able to put a face to a name!  We had a great time at Branstrom Park...finding little pockets of great lighting and cool spots to shoot in.  Chris couldn't stop talking about wanting tacos for lunch...so guess what Joe and I had to eat for lunch.....you are right....TACOS!!

Derek & Kate were lots of fun to be around!  It was a beautiful day wandering around downtown Grand Rapids for their engagement session.  It was a little windy, but we made the best of it!  We had a great time getting to know them a little better and going over wedding plans at TGI Fridays.  Their wedding date will be here before you know it..........we cannot wait!!!

The first photo below is right in front of a fountain.  They almost fell in before we even started shooting....thank goodness they didn't!

August 15, 2010!

We felt so honored to be able to photograph Bre and Rusty's engagement and wedding in beautiful California last week!  The weather was beautiful, the scenery was breathtaking and the couple was amazing!  What a fantastic way to spend a day.....roaming around wine country with one old and one new friend, taking in views of the mountains, chatting and trying new foods! 

It was so nice to see this couple so in love.  Bre was gorgeous......Rusty wasn't too bad himself, which makes for some amazing photos!  Enjoy the preview below......you won't be able to wait to view the wedding post!!

We had a blast with Nick and Mandy.  It was a cool, overcast spring day...but turned out being great for the session!  We walked all around the downtown Grand Rapids area searching for fun and interesting places to shoot.....needless to say....we found many!  Nick and Mandy were so much fun to be around and obviously head over heels for one another!  We cannot wait for their wedding....it is going to be a blast!  And now.....some of our faves from the day!!

Chris and Lindsey are such a great couple!  They were so much fun and soooo in love!  Their love story began in England, where Chris is from and Lindsey studied abroad.  Chris just arrived to the U.S. for their wedding next weekend, which explains the late engagement shoot.  We were so glad to be able to meet with them and meet Chris before the big day next weekend!  Their wedding is going to be beautiful and we cannot wait to photograph it!!  Check back in a week or so for a preview of their wedding day!

I was so excited to finally be able to meet Ken & Holly.  Holly and I have been talking via email over the past few months about weddings details, etc.....and yesterday we finally had the chance to meet up.  Holly and Ken feel like long lost friends....which made the conversation easy, the posing easy, and the natural reactions easy!  I loved it!  It was cold, but not too cold....  We walked around downtown Grand Rapids and found many great spots!  Holly's laugh is so contagious....she lights up the room.....which is easy to see in Ken's eyes when she walks in.  I see a bright future and beautiful wedding for this couple!  We cannot wait to photograph their October wedding this year!  It will be amazing!

This past weekend, Josh & Katie met us in downtown GR for a verrrryyy cold engagement shoot!  These two are so cute together and so in love!  It is great to see a couple so happy :)  Katie is studying photography in college, so I cannot wait to hear what she thinks about the photos!  Katie is going to make a beautiful bride and Josh will be a dashing groom.....and together, they will make the perfect couple (like the one on top of the cake). :)
